2021.12.07 09:16 Kitchen-Staff-5028 Reading my friends mind
So I have this friend and I really want to help her out. She constantly complains about being overweight, not eating well and not having anything to do.
I am trying to understand her because every day she will tell me she’s starting a new diet, or going to the gym, or doing stuff with friends but then never does this stuff.
For example today, she messaged me saying she was going to start writing a book and I said that’s great and I asked her if she was really going to or if this was another one of the things she says and never does. She then proceeds to put up a load of barriers and excuses like saying she had loads of phone calls to make and when I asked who she had to call it was just 2 people.
I’m really confused by this and want to understand why she always pretends she’s going on a new diet or health kick and then never does it?
Any advice would be appreciated as I’m getting sick of hearing the same stuff every day and it not delivering.

2021.12.07 09:16 AnomaLuna Does Riot Games have any official stance on smurfing?
I'm fairly new to Valorant. I only started playing last month. I have to admit I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed this game and how quickly I got hooked onto it. I am primarily a Dota 2 player, I never even played CSGO that much.
But Valorant is what I play most of the time now, especially since I have a new system that can run the game well. I am by no means a good player, I know there are tons of areas that I should improve in.
But the one thing that's deterring me from playing and actually ruining my experience is smurfs. To be clear, I understand how some players may feel like they're facing smurfs just because they had a bad game and the enemy team had a good game. And this is not something that happens every single game, or even 50% of the games. But it is enough for me to be frustrated and start to dislike the experience of playing the game.
I primarily queue unranked matches, and in some of these games, I will meet players that literally no one on the team can handle. They will headshot you no matter when and where you peek from. They will take on your team 1v4 when you've planted the spike and think you can at least win this one round. You will lose 0-9 in the first half to the point where the team is so demoralized they don't even want to play. They will be 24-2 when over half of your teammates are struggling to even get one kill.
Now, maybe the matchmaker is severely imbalanced because there aren't enough players. Maybe its not smurfs but really good players who just happened to get queued into my games. But I doubt that. And what bothers me even more is that I can't report these players because there is no option that says "smurfing or matchmaking abuse". Even Valve publicly decried and allowed reporting for smurfs after years of complaints for Dota 2. And this is something I would have never expected them to do.
So, is Riot Games doing something about it or do they not care?

2021.12.07 09:16 slip_cougan Removing uci (dumb newbie)
So I've just been messing around with a project I started a while back. Been working through a few training videos and started adding control elements to my schematic. All very cool.
Then I thought I'd have a go at creating a uci as the training videos make it all sound easy-peasy - and it is.
Now I have a yellow licenced feature notification telling me I need a license for the uci.
I don't need this and would like to delete the uci. I don't seem to be able to do this - how do I remove the uci from my project?

2021.12.07 09:16 TonyTheElf Implementing basic Unity jobs system with ECS, tutorial needed.
I've been trying to find a good tutorial on doing the whole ECS-jobs thing for a while now. I don't need anything fancy, just something like cube spawning so I'd have a basic structure for messing around. Basically what I want is Unity's official tutorial, but one that actually still works as those methods seem deprecated now.
